2022 AOPT Special Interest Group Election

The following positions are open for election in the upcoming 2022 AOPT SIG elections:

Occupational Health Special Interest Group (OHSIG)

  • 1 Vice President/Education Chair (3-year term)
  • 1 Nominating Committee Member (3-year term)

Foot & Ankle Special Interest Group (FASIG)

  • 1 Vice President/Education Chair (3-year term)
  • 1 Nominating Committee Member (3-year term)

Pain Special Interest Group (P-SIG)

  • 1 President (3-year term)
  • 1 Nominating Committee Member (3-year term)

Performing Arts Special Interest Group (PASIG)

  • 1 President (3-year term)
  • 1 Nominating Committee Member (3-year term)

Animal Physical Therapist Special Interest Group (APTSIG)

  • 2 Nominating Committee Members:  (one candidate to be elected for a 2-year term, and a second candidate to be elected for a 3-year term)

Imaging Special Interest Group (I-SIG)

  • Nominating Committee Member:  (3-year term)

Orthopaedic Residency/Fellowship Special Interest Group (ORF-SIG)

  • Nominating Committee Member:  (3-year term)

Special Interest Group Election Resources

  • SIG Leadership Presentation: Provides an overview of the AOPT's SIG structure, and the association to the AOPT Board of Directors. 
  • SIG Policies: Provides policies and procedures regarding AOPT's SIGs.

The Deadline to submit Potential Candidate Forms is August 31, 2022.  

The information submitted by potential candidates will be reviewed by the applicable SIG Nominating Committee, and a state of candidates will be presented to the SIG membership in October, 2022.  The voting period will be open from November 1 - November 30, 2022.

Election results will be announced in mid-December, 2022
