The 2012 Orthopaedic Section and Special Interest Group Election period is only days away! The voting period lasts throughout the month of November. Get involved - cast your vote!

NOVEMBER 1ST is the deadline for submitting nominations for the Orthopaedic Section Awards! There are many therapists in our profession who have contributed so much, and who deserve to be recognized. Please take some time to think about these individuals and nominate them for the Orthopaedic Section's highest Awards. Let's celebrate the success of these hard-working people!

A preliminary draft of the Orthopaedic Section's seventh ICF-Based Clinical Practice Guidelines on Low Back Pain is currently available for review. Please click here to read further and for the opportunity to provide feedback.

We are happy to announce that the first seven monographs of ISC 21.2, Current Concepts of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, 3rd Edition, is now available. You will find additional information and can register at the following link on the Orthopaedic Section Web site shown below, or call the Section office at 800-444-3982. The remainder of the course, along with instructions for completing the final examination online, will be mailed to all registrants after its projected completion date later this fall: https://www.orthopt.org/212.php

The International Collaboration on Neck (ICON), a multidisciplinary, academic-based research group is synthesizing evidence about management of neck pain. We are collecting information about practice patterns and opinions from various health disciplines and from different countries.
    The survey is divided into 5 sections covering specific clinical subtasks with respect to neck pain. Each section will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. You are invited to complete the first survey:

The Orthopaedic Section supports its members by funding studies to systematically examine orthopaedic practice issues. The purpose of this grant program is to address the urgent need for clinical research in orthopaedic physical therapy. Click here for details on applying for a grant.
