PR Committee Member Spotlight
The AOPT welcomes the following student members to our Public Relations Committee:
Emily Nedley, SPT
My name is Emily Nedley. I graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2018 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. I now am in my 5th semester of DPT school at Sacred Heart University. As a current fitness instructor and yoga enthusiast, and former D1 rower, my goal when becoming a physical therapist is to help patients achieve freedom in movement to do the things they love. I believe in learning quality, fine-tuned movement as the foundation to performing high-level activities. Some of my favorite hobbies include running and traveling. I am currently training for the Fairfield half-marathon in June, and my favorite adventures so far include creating a wellness program in Dingle, Ireland, and providing health care services to the underserved in Guatemala.
Mateo Soto, SPT, CSCS
My name is Mateo Soto. I from a small town called Whippany, NJ, and I went to Whippany Park High School. I got my bachelor’s degree in exercise science and I am currently a second year DPT student at Sacred Heart University. A couple of things about me is that I played collegiate football and track & field. Also, I love weightlifting. I have a big interest in sports medicine but also military physical therapy. The goal one day is to be an active duty military physical therapist and help those who serve our country.
Bridget Kelly, SPT
My name is Bridget Kelly and I grew up in South Windsor, CT, where I graduated high school in 2016. I attended Sacred Heart University for my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and was also a member of the Universities division I Field Hockey team, graduating in 2020. I am currently finishing my first year of DPT school at Sacred Heart. In my free time, I enjoy staying active, reading, and playing with my dog. I am excited to be involved with the AOPT and am looking forward to all the opportunities and learning experiences that are to come.
David Iodice, SPT, CSCS
My name is David Iodice, I grew up in Pompton Plains, NJ, and graduated from Pequannock Township High School in 2015. I received my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware in 2019. I am currently in my 5th semester of DPT school at Sacred Heart University. I am a certified strength and conditioning coach. I played sports for the majority of my childhood and currently like to weight lift, run, and play golf. I would like to pursue a job in the sports medicine field after I graduate. A fun fact about me, I had perfect attendance from pre-k to my senior year of high school.
