Student Sponsorship to the Federal Advocacy Forum
The Orthopaedic Section is proud to support the Student Assembly by supporting a student Orthopaedic Section member to attend the Federal Advocacy Forum in Alexandria, VA, April 25-27, 2010. The interested physical therapy student must complete the following questions and essay to be selected by the Practice Committee to attend the Advocacy Forum.
- What current Bills are in Congress that directly affects the Orthopaedic Physical Therapists?
- What do you hope to accomplish by attending the 2010 Federal Advocacy Forum? (Limit response to 500 words)
- How will you disseminate information from the forum back to your school and state chapter? (Limit response to 100 words)

Call for Manual Therapy EIG Chair
The Orthopaedic Section Board of Directors is seeking individuals interested in serving as Chair of the Manual Therapy Education Interest Group (EIG). The responsibilities of the Manual Therapy EIG Chair include: attending the annual breakfast roundtable discussion at CSM; providing a proposal for 2 to 3 hours of potential CSM manual therapy programming each year; serving as moderator of the EIG program; and, providing a written report to the Board of Directors describing the upcoming EIG programming at CSM. The selected EIG Chair would serve a 3-year term.

Foundation Now Accepting Nominations to Join Scientific Review Committee
The Foundation for Physical Therapy is currently accepting nominations to serve on the Scientific Review Committee (SRC). This all-volunteer committee is vital to awarding over 25 scholarships, fellowships and grants each year. If you know of someone who could serve as an application reviewer, or have an interest in volunteering yourself, click here to review the criteria for membership.
