Use of the International Classification of Functioning and Disability to Develop Evidence-Based Practice Guidelines for Treatment of Common Musculoskeletal Conditions

ICF Project Published Guidelines

Dear Orthopaedic Section Member:

I am happy to make available a preliminary draft of the Orthopaedic Section's sixth ICF-Based Clinical Practice Guidelines. This clinical guideline is on Achilles Pain, Stiffness, and Muscle Power Deficits / Achilles Tendinitis.

You are also invited to review and also provide feedback on our fifth clinical practice guideline, Knee Pain and Mobility Impairments / Meniscal and Articular Cartilage Lesions.

I, along with the Orthopaedic Section's ICF-Based Practice Guidelines advisory panel, would like to offer you the ability to review these guidelines. In addition, feel free to forward/share this information with colleagues of yours who may also wish to review these clinical guidelines. You and your colleagues may send your edits, comments, suggestions, and/or feedback to me.

To provide feedback on the Achilles Pain, Stiffness, and Muscle Power Deficits / Achilles Tendinitis clinical guidelines, please click here.

For your files, you may click on the following links to download a Guest Editorial as well as the Heel Pain - Plantar Fasciitis, Neck Pain, Hip Pain and Mobility Deficits - Hip Osteoarthritis, and Knee Stability and Movement Coordination Impairments - Knee Ligament Sprain Clinical Practice Guidelines that have been published in the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy.

Your assistance with reviewing and providing feedback on these, and future, clinical guidelines is appreciated.

Sincerely,
